MEET JILL LANDMAN ALFOND

With a demeanor as sweet as her signature style, it was only natural for Jill Landman Alfond to open a shop like Sugarlicious. The part-time Denver, part-time Vail resident is known and loved by friends for her sunny personality and colorful charm. A Michigan native, Jill’s background in public relations is complemented by experience as a graduate student in journalism at Boston University as well as a stint at a Boston culinary school where she stirred and sautéed her way through the late 1990s, while also obtaining her Masters degree in journalism. Post-culinary and graduate school, Jill returned to Vail where she worked at Peeples Ink PR and co-founded The Millennium Society, the Vail Valley’s "Generation Next.” This like-minded group of 30-, 40-, and 50-somethings is dedicated to festive philanthropy and hosts a major annual fundraising event to benefit The Youth Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and the Bright Future Foundation. In addition to her commitment to The Youth Foundation and Millennium Society, Jill serves on the Board of Mountain Montessori Preschool. Jill is married to John Alfond and has two children, Pixie and Teddy. When she’s not manning the fort at Sugarlicious or moonlighting as supermom, Jill can be found administering her very own amateur psychology test, as she’s convinced that the world is divided into "Twizzlers people" and "Red Vines people." For the record, she’s a Red Vines gal.

MEET STACEY LANDMAN
Manager

Sweet celebrations are in Stacey Landman’s blood. Raised in the catering business, she literally grew up at parties as a child in Michigan. Now a Colorado girl, Stacey has a serious case of wanderlust and has visited more than twenty countries on five continents, including an African Safari and a trip to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. And while her favorite hotspot is Maui, she’s just as happy at her Platte Park home with husband Brad and pup Lucy, who she rescued from the Denver Dumb Friends League. Prior to becoming part of the dynamic Sugarlicious duo, Stacey worked as an event planner where she managed onsite logistics and incentive travel for Fortune 500 companies. Today, she uses her party planning skills to create custom, one-of-a-kind dessert bars and birthday soirées for the Sugarlicious clientele.

Favorite Candy: Tootsie Pops. My grandma always gave me a bouquet when I stayed at her house…and despite many attempts, I never found out how many licks it took to get to the center.
